Nurturing Learners for Life
We believe that Montessori works in every setting for the success of each child, and that our role is to help parents develop children who are prepared for the real world. At IMS, our teachers support your child’s natural development in classrooms that are hands-on, self-paced and joyful, creating a lifelong learner and doer. We are able to provide a truly unique learning environment where your child can explore and discover the wonders of learning.

Apply Online
We welcome families who are committed to our school values. We accept applications throughout the year for ages 1 to 14. All applications will be processed through our Admission Portal (Veracross Student Information System), where parents can access, edit and complete your child’s application at your own pace.

Assessment
Once our Admissions Department has received your application, we will contact you to schedule a school visit and assessment for your child, if applicable for their age.
Montessori First Steps and Foundation Groups (Ages 1-3)
There is no assessment needed for these very young children. Families enrolled in our Montessori First Steps and Foundation programmes will have priority entrance to the Casa Dei Bambini programme.
Casa dei Bambini (Ages 3-6)
Your child will be guided by a variety of teachers to independently use a series of materials. Younger children can be accompanied by a parent, while older children (ages 4.5+) will be invited to join a classroom to interact with their peers. These experiences will allow us to assess the child’s academic and socio-emotional readiness.
Elementary and Middle School (Ages 6-14)
Your child will be invited to work one-on-one with our teacher to explore their developmental milestones and academic skills. In addition, your child will spend an hour working with a group of peers and teachers in a classroom to assess their academic and socio-emotional readiness.

Discover the magic of Montessori
We believe the best time to see the Montessori philosophy in action is to visit when classes are in session. Come and see how this approach can make a difference to your child's learning and development. We invite parents to trial and participate in any of our many events.
