QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Written and spoken fluency in English/Chinese language (IMS curriculum is conducted using traditional characters).  

• AMI Adolescent (12-18) Diploma or equivalent Montessori or project-based, hands-on teacher training.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to graceful and courteous treatment of all. 

• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities. 

• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Principal may find appropriate or acceptable. 

• Flexibility and understanding of the needs of a developing school.

DUTIES:

• Core content delivery in one or more subject areas of expertise.

• Collaborate with a four-person team to develop and deliver inquiry-based, project-infused curriculum (PBL). 

• Connect core content in school to authentic work and experiences outside of school.

• Actively engage in community building by providing parent education, collaborating with co-teachers, and maintaining open communication with team members.

• Provide mentoring and pastoral care to a small group of adolescents.

• Fulfil duties associated with student supervision and wellbeing (lunch duty, bus duty, etc.).
