"Language Development from 0 to 3" Workshop
In this session, Montessori mum and parent facilitator, Jennifer Yu, will look at the role adults play in the language development during the first three years of life. Parents will gain hands-on ideas to use at home, and get to practise techniques for supporting their child’s spoken language from as early as conception.
Jennifer will discuss how parents can provide a rich language environment for infants and toddlers to naturally develop their verbal skills, and to nurture a genuine love of language. She will offer positive ways to communicate with young children to meet their needs while gaining their cooperation. Participants will discover how to use language to support problem-solving and self-regulation skills during the emotional toddler years. This 2-hour workshop is designed for parents with a child from birth to 3 years old or expectant parents.
