The creation of a close-knit school community that is ethnically diverse yet unified and harmonious has always been an important value for IMS. The school’s success and strong ethos derives from the contributions of all stakeholders – staff, children and most importantly, parents. IMS is truly an international school of the highest calibre.
IMS has always enjoyed a vibrant community of engaged students, committed parents, teachers, and staff in both individual campuses and the school as a whole. The IMS school year is filled with fun, educational, and rewarding events for students and their families. Many of these events are co-organized or sponsored by the PTA, and we are grateful to the PTA committee and many parent volunteers who make these events a success.
IMS is also committed to the communities in which our campuses are located and has worked to engage in community outreach in a number of ways. Moreover, throughout the year the IMS community supports an extensive range of charities and their good works, both here in Hong Kong and beyond, including Box of Hope, Mother’s choice, and Umbrella Nepal Foundation. We are particularly proud of the commitment and community engagement demonstrated by our students, who have throughout the past two years also organized fundraising for relief efforts for earthquake victims in Nepal, dog rescues, women in distress, and medical research. Several Primary students organized a Sunday second-hand uniform sale to aid the fight against Ebola.
