Charity Breakfast

The Parent-Child Charity Breakfast, an annual highlight for our parents, is a breakfast that is prepared by our 3-6 year old children to raise funds for charity. Each class takes turns to host, and the children are guided by their teachers to make all preparations, including shopping, designing menus, making the food, arranging flowers and setting tables. This event instils in children the understanding of and motivation for giving back to their community from a young age.

Cooking With Parents

Every month, parents can volunteer to lead a cooking activity with their child’s class. This parent-led event fosters connections among parents as they work together to support small groups of children from their child’s class to create a delicious dish.

Cultural Celebrations

By living and learning amongst two languages, our students develop an openness and genuine respect for the culture and habits of our community. Mid-Autumn and Lunar New Year are celebrated in a multisensory way with our entire school wearing their traditional Chinese outfits, cooking and tasting traditional dishes, learning festive poems and songs and performing lion dances. Our Elementary Chinese faculty host an impressive fair for their students complete with traditional activities such as lantern riddles and calligraphy writing.

Talent Show

Directed, produced and performed entirely by our Elementary students each year, the Talent Show showcases our 6-12 children’s diverse and sometimes quirky talents! Besides performing for parents, faculty and peers, the students also run their own auditions, stage management and sound and lighting teams. Tickets are sold to raise funds for the charity that the students have collectively chosen, and through this engagement and empowerment, service and the sense of civic duty becomes meaningful to the children.

Winter Performance

The Winter Performance is an annual concert where all our Casa and Elementary classes come together to the Stanley campus to showcase their vocal and dramatic artistry in both English and Chinese. Our bilingual Upper Elementary emcees proudly host the production each year. This annual highlight is followed by our Winter Fair selling food and arts & crafts, and bringing together all our families across campuses to celebrate before the holiday season.
